OVERVIEW

In the Construction industry, all the stakeholders such as Clients/ Consultants/ Contractors/ Authorities involved in projects aspire that they are successfully implemented based on scope, cost, time and quality.

The client in embarking on a project will want to prepare a workable, bankable and implementable project program which shows the various stages of the project from initiation, planning, design, tender, construction, testing & commissioning, CCC & handover, close out, operation and maintenance.

There are many activities to be planned & scheduled and organised throughout the project cycle.

At the construction stage, as per the specification, the contractor is required to submit to the S.O. for his approval within fourteen (14) days after the receipt of the Letter of Acceptance, a detailed work programme using the Critical Path Method (CPM) indicating, among others the contract sum, contract period, contract conditions, critical activities, interface dates, resources required, procurements, supervision, project cash flow to complete the works within the Contract period.
